If Joey Anderson and Hakim Murphy made a bet on who could release most in 2013 there's every chance even they would have lost count who's winning. This shouldn't denote from their music output of course, which on both fronts this year have been superb, and for Murphy, Chiffre exemplifies this. The drums of "Tegel E" sounds like an eight armed monkey-toy skilfully playing a drum kit, while DJ Spider's lowly remix of "Nabodani" grunts and growls like a lurking presence inside a giant satellite that's lost in space. Murdoch's remix to "Vatitio" is the EPs most serene production, while Murphy's other original, "Gangsta Slide", is a cosmic surf of gliding synths and warm pads - that monkey might be back on the percussion too.
