Michael Lueckner is back as Guitar with his fifth album, "Dealing With Signal & Noise". Here he creates seas overflowing with waves of guitar and distant vocals. This time the seas are wider and the waves more engulfing than ever as Luechner teams up with singer Ayako Akashiba and even commandeers the American rock band Voyager One to further add to the depth of his sound. Whereas fellow 6-string luminaries such as Fennesz exploit the guitar's potential through drones and avant-garde sound art, Lueckner constructs accessible sun-drenched pop songs that are akin to My Bloody Valentine or a more delicate M83.
