Having unleashed six EPs featuring their own edits of mostly obscure disco and boogie treats, Italian twosome G&B have decided to do a 'guest edition' of their popular 12" rework series. The A-side has a Bristol flavour, as two renowned West Country crate diggers step up to the plate. Mike Shawe delivers 'Heartbreaker', a perfectly executed tweak of a low-slung, lightly synth-splattered independent disco number blessed with super-soulful lead vocals, before Community Discos chief Admin lays down the loose-limbed disco-funk excellence of 'Alive & Well'. Over on side B, Real Deal get the party well and truly started with the horn-heavy disco-boogie joy of 'Hey Love', while Sparkling Attitude make merry with a Latin funk shuffler on the superb 'Zio Roberto'.
