The lesser spotted Ruf Kutz label emerges from hibernation with their third release replete with a trio of multi-faceted discoid thrillers. Mancunian Ruf Dug, resident at the Wet Play parties, contributes two tracks, though it's Red Bull Music Academy alumni Glowing Palms that opens proceedings with the bottom heavy satisfaction of "I Don't Wanna Come Daaaan", which expertly teases out an extended groove before the vocal pay dirt hits! Ruf Dug's first slice of disco action is the taut Philly groove of "Choppin Tom", which neatly plays around with the percussive elements before the glorious strings and killer piano hook comes swooping in. Flipside "Head Band Dub" swerves towards expansive Balearica - just wait for the bubbling acid arpeggio to come to the fore in sync with those dramatic piano flourishes.
