In the spirit of Voom:Voom and all other manner of Germanic broken beat wares, the latest Ultrastretch 12" comes flailing out of the stocks in a loose-limbed workout of tight-popping drums that place sharp-angled rhythms at the forefront and let all manner of playful noises join in on the fun. "Love Me High" is a more woozy affair infected with low-end burbling synth tones and displaced vocal, but still the drums drop in decidedly live, while Fumiya Tanaka's remix pings off into true freak-out territory powered by a very minimal backbone and a pointed taste for the most unsettling noises that could be mustered from the depths of his studio process.
