The Chicago-based Prosthetic Pressings is a label that's kept its head down for a solid seven years now, dispersing a punishing array of techno from a whole host of artists. In recent years it's become home to acts like BCR Boys, Donor and Audio Injection, while most recently two of the UK's finest, Perc and Inigo Kennedy, have joined the label. Now Sean Sander's imprint welcomes in ominous Italian duo Giorgio Gigli & Obtane, with no less then a remix of "Industrial Assaults" from Rrose, which sinisterly remoulds the gloomy pulse of the original into a grooving gurgle of alien funk. The hint to the EPs final track, "Ambient Drama", is in the title, an eerie score of hushed menace designed for a dystopian soundtrack should it present itself.
