Following previous appearances on Turbo and 3024 Brian "Gingy" Wong makes his debut on Clone Royal Oak. "Rapt", featuring the distinct vocals of Azari & III and Hot Since '82 collaborator Starving Yet Full, is a full on retro-futurist garage groover, with a little UKG swing underpinning classic U.S garage organ stabs. Clone stalwarts Serge and Tyrell provide a chunkier, largely vocal-free dub, making more of the original's relentless organs and some classic, early Tenaglia style drums. The 12" concludes with "VSCUS", a warm and dreamy chunk of acid-flecked deepness with plenty of far-sighted electronics to move the track forwards.
