Wow, another unexpected treat from the Modern Love family following that Low Jack LP earlier this year. Gary Howells might not be the most familiar of names, but he's a strong facet in the Modern Love story, collaborating with Miles Whittaker as Pendle Coven in addition to those two being responsible for HATE alongside Mr Andy Stott. After a GH EP dropped on Modern Love a few years back, Howells returns with a quite stunning debut LP, Household Demigod, that lands in the snug crawlspace between techno and black metal. All tracks in this album were simply made on a Boss DR550, a battered old Charvel guitar and a few guitar pedals: raw power!
