Dallas-based Gavin Guthrie first made his mark as TX Connect with the lead track on a split release with Speculator for the LIES BLK series in early 2013, and has subsequently left a grizzled mark on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Bad Mums Club and fledgling Aussie label Adelaide Soundworks. His arrival on Creme with this eponymous double pack should not be a surprise to anyone that keeps up on the Hague-based label's scheduled releases, with DJ TLR long alluding to his addition. Nine tracks deep, the mood swings from taut deepness like "Soundtrack 909" to more ragged fare that is comparable to the music of Midwest acid techno legend Woody McBride having a molecular meltdown. Perfect tackle for all basements and squat parties!
