The first volume in the Frescoedits series received a few approving nods and winks when it hit stores in October 2019. We'd expect this follow-up to be equally as admired. It begins with a low-slung disco bumper - think cowbell-heavy percussion, a gigantic walking bassline and "Papa Don't Preach" vocal samples" - and ends with the blue-eyed soul, Joe Cocker-esuqe warmth of "Together Trio". In between you'll find two more certified treats: the quirky, reggae-influenced European synth-pop bounce of "Non Conviene" and the heavyweight dub disco/punk-funk fusion of "Umile", which sounds like a subtly tooled-up version of the sort of thing that might have been made in Bristol in 1983.
