Jamaican singer, musician and producer Freddie McGregor's 'Hand In De Fire' is a true soundsystem classic that has been dug out of the Stingray archive. One of the defining anthems of early 2000s UK reggae, it finally gets its long-overdue reissue and this edition features the previously LP-only vocal cut, now available on 7" for the first time. It comes complete with heavy, widescreen mixing that hits deep in the dance. On the flip is a thunderous 'Lava Dub' version from the Stingray All Stars that showcases the tune's raw, melodic power in true soundsystem style. A crucial cut from Freddie McGregor, and easily one of his finest moments of the era.
