Word on the street is 2014 will finally see the release of the debut album from the 'Queen Bee of Eglo' Fatima and it should be quite the all star cast if recent singles from the singer are any indication. Button pushing duties for the last Fatima drop fell on Stones Throw's Oh No, and Computer Jay and Shafiq Husayn of Sa Ra Creative Partners fame, whilst Eglo talent FlaKo is involved on this new 12". Lead cut "La Neta" is pure class, traversing the tempos with aplomb - one minute it's classic West London bruk beat the next it's sultry soul and of course Fatima rides these curves with class. "Family" is Fatima in warm and cosy ballad mode which offers a hint the upcoming LP might have the odd moment of crossover potential, whilst FlaKo's production chops shine through on the late 90s Timbo does 8 bar grime ruffness of "Black Dough".
