Somewhat surprisingly, it's been a while since we last heard from Bristol-based bass soldier Facta (AKA former Idle Hands, Bloc and Ancient Monarchy producer Oscar Henson). He's kept it simple for his first outing on Pev and Kowton's Livity Sound stable, serving up two lusciously dreamy, spaced-out cuts. Check first A-side "Dumb Hummer", a breezy shuffler blessed with sparkling computer beeps, post-tropical machine rhythms, ear-catching hand percussion and a decidedly restless bassline. B-side "All The Time" is warmer and woozier in feel. It sees Henson wrap a gentle but weighty, UK garage influenced rhythm in waves of hazy, dreamy synthesizer chords and ricocheting, dub-wise vocal samples.
