Over the course of his four-year career to date, Evigt Morker has earned a reputation for delivering dark but timeless techno jams. Happily, you'll find plenty of examples on the Swedish producer's first foray on Northern Electronics. Check, for example, the twisted, mildly aggressive riffs, trippy electronics and no-nonsense drums of opener "Fiende", the title track's deep, off-kilter hypnotism and the heart-achingly melancholic "Den Stilla Kammaren", where poignant chords drift across a tough but skittish rhythm track. He also finds space for a dash of metallic, acid-fired insanity, with the warped and mind-altering "Glimt" providing an EP highlight.
