Zombie Zombie's Etienne Jaumet returns with a second album La Visite courtesy of enigmatic Parisian label Versatile. Jaumet's sound flutters somewhere in the vast, bottomless pit that lies between house and electro-acoustic so there's always something new and fresh to be expected on a release from the man. The opener "Metallik Cages" sets the scene perfectly with its 4/4 kick and odd, floaty melodies, clicks and mind-bending vocals. Jaumet also plays with the totally abstract on tracks like "Module Mou" and "Moderne Jungle", the latter being one of the most interesting electronic jazz tunes we've heard this year!
