To complement Erol Alkan's long overdue induction in the Fabric mix hall of fame, the London clubbing institution have pressed up this 10" featuring a rare original production from the Phantasy Sound boss backed with a early 90s rarity from Uwe Schmidt. Within the context of the mix the B Side precedes the A Side, but given how special an Erol Alkan original is, it's no surprise "Sub Conscious" is presented as the main draw here. Undoubtedly inspired by originators such as Hardfloor and Phuture, the acid soaked "Sub Conscious" still has a certain cosmic edge to it, whilst Phreak's "Acid On" sounds just as vital now despite the fact Schmidt originally recorded it some 23 years ago!
