Balearic Gabba Edits 4 vinyl

Italian label Hell Yeah Recordings transmit yet another fine helping of Enzo Elia edits under the superbly named Balearic Gabba Edits umbrella, with the Berlin based Italian turning his attention to the works of Psycho Team and Endangered People. First up is Elia's pumping, Hi NRG self styled Barini edit of "Hypno", Psycho Team's late 80s Italian New Beat favourite; the mid point moment where some deft scratching signals a change in rhythmic emphasis is nothing less than thrilling. It's complemented nicely by the subsequent revision of "Psycho" from the same act which begins in calming, contemplative mood before a frazzled synth line bursts through with dramatic effect. On the flip Elia drops a killer Ultra Dub take on the Endangered Species track "So I Want to Say (Ta Ta Ta)" which unfolds like one thick, analogous tease.
