For their second reissue, the Sex Tapes On Mars crew has dug deep and unearthed a largely unheralded - but undoubtedly sought-after amongst those who know - cut from obscure French producer Electromanager's untitled 2001 debut 12" on OG Records. 'Sunny Side' is one of those cuts that cannily and casually blurs boundaries, with its blend of crunchy machine drums, rubbery synth-bass, alien-sounding chords, jaunty melodies and curious spoken word samples sitting somewhere between tech-house, electro and deep house. This edition boasts two fresh 2022 revisions too: a pleasingly percussive, trippy, sub-heavy, tropical-tinged tweak from Youandewan, and a rolling, immersive and intergalactic deep techno re-wire courtesy of rising star Huerta.
