This is not just an EP of rattling drum machines and gurgling acid, like we've come to expect from Abstract Acid, but a well rounded EP of utilitarian techno. "A Groove" sounds like a twisted 303 alternative to Daft Punk's "Teachers", while "Getting' Hot" and "Return 2 Non-Nosense" draws parallels with the Astro-polyrhythmic house experimentations of a Joey Anderson production. Acid heats returns in "Forward" backed by one hit snares like D.A.F and percussion like Marshall Jefferson - while "All I Wanna" steps up a gear with something designed to make dancefloors drip with sweat. A jacking "So It Was" then completes the EP, which, in a single production essentially defines primal electronic dance music. A great all rounder for the club DJ.
