Spain's Eduardo De La Calle started making his name around the techno circles in the early noughties, via labels such as Hard Fandango and Thatlab Electroniks. However, it's fair to say that his breakthrough came within the last decade, when the resurgence of proper house and techno saw and end to the 'minimal' takeover of the years prior to that; this, in part, was thanks to an extensive collection of releases for his own Analog Solutions. This time he's back with his debut album and it comes through the young Badance label, home to the likes of Kareem Ali and BMBF. The Intellinet Prophecy is a techno album with audible influences of jazz and the supremely scientific, where tracks like "Call From Beyond" or "Faith Necessary" go way beyond the dancefloor and land somewhere in outer space, a place on which genres don't seem to exist and the passage of time is swamped in beats and melodies.
