Born in 1984, Milan based Eddie Danielli began collecting vinyl at the age of 16. Over time, his musical quest has focused on house music's origins where Eddie has deepened his history: collecting funk, soul, jazz, fusion and disco. His sound is classic and without compromise. Today, Danielli has created a small independent label named Sampling Moods Records, that intends to be raw and only samples vintage genres. Now on its third release, the Blast EP features four dusty cuts that borrow from all the aforementioned influences. Opening track "Lady Bird" is a funky disco-house jam that bangs on through all the tape saturation, featuring some hilarious chipmunk vocals via the majorly pitched up samples. On the flip, the deep, late night emotions of "Missing Groove" immediately call to mind the great Theo Parrish with its lazy and slightly off kilter groove: and you can bet it's fairly bittersweet and melancholy.
