Despite the distance that separate their respective bases of Brooklyn and London, Donor and Truss have forged a strong production partnership over the past six years with strong ties to Perc Trax. On Aber they make their debut for M_Rec with four tracks of similarly metalworked techno; "Spatial" sees a dry 303 worked inside cavernous house chords, while "Beneath" sees a sludgy experimental track filled with dread, On the flip, "Ease" sees a shrill morse code sequence underpinning weighty kicks and powerful percussion, while "Aber" offers tribal rhythmic power and nothing else, letting its booming toms and eerie atmospherics do the work.
