DJ Spider swiftly follows that killer SubBASS transmission alongside Marshallitto with this equally good plate for his own Sublevel Sounds label. The Night Gallery 12" has Spider collaborating with the Hoff aka Phil Hoffa on two productions and each producer also offers a solo effort with the results occupying a murky, uneasy space in the analogue techno spectrum. Spider's "Frequency Pollution" sets the tone, a thick set bass drum the one constant rhythmic element as the producer smears rough percussive textures and growling chords across the channels. Imagine a drunken STL lurching through the Bronx in the early hours and you have an idea of this track. The first Spider and Moffa cut "Oracle Octaves" is a delay laden wonder that gradually accrues a sense of rhythmic intensity that engulfs you in full flight. Moffa's "Midnight Never Ends" matches this previous track for sheer intensity of arrangement whilst the second Moffa and Spider cut "Golden Dawn" is, in a word, mental.
