So far, the ICI collective have put out one compilation per year, with the first two in the series coming from Debruit. For 2017's edition, the designer electronics stable comes through with a various artists work, preferring to expand on their illustrious catalogue of electronic sounds rather than focusing on a specific sub-genre or sound. There's plenty to discover in here because, much like you, we're coming across these artists for the first time ever. As a caveat, while each tune is undeniably made of different textures, there is something slow and moody that ties them all together; Balearic seems to be the heart of the machine for most of these deep scorchers, reminding us of the sort of DJ sets emanating from the Red Light crew, out of the DAM.
