DJ Loser has made a big noise with music on Novi Svijet, Veyl and Live Adult Entertainment, and now comes correct on a fantastic full length for the Forbidden Planet label. The Greece-based DJ and producer reconstructs rave, techno and trance into a bristling musical landscape that unfolds with a real sense of personality. There is bristling, crackling ambient to kick off then future-retro rave on 'Bad Standard' nice physical techno on 'Illusion Hunt.' There is a kink to Loser's drum patterns that adds an extra special something to these tunes, and it's the same with his great use of fuzzy texture, busted kicks and bright, scintillating chords. They all add up to a high energy but nuanced techno sound.
