It feels like DJ Guy's vault of unreleased productions is the size of your average cold war bunker. The producer has already released a swathe of brilliant tracks made in the early-to-mid '90s, and here offers up four more slabs of previously unheard goodness produced in 1993 and '94. "Whale Song" is a superb chunk of hypnotic ambient techno blessed with intertwining crystalline melodies and new age sound effects, while "SXII90 Tape (Side A)" is a fuzzy chunk of ultra-positive electronica that defies easy categorization. Flip for the dark, trippy and psychedelic throb of "BX90 (Side 1) Trk 2", where delay-laden percussion hits battle with moody chords and trippy effects, as well as the fluttering, minor key positivity of "BASF Ferro Extra Tape (Side B) Trk 4".
