If you're in the mood for some full-length, club ready disco gems from the early-to-mid 1980s, the latest edition of PTG's long-running Disco Giants series is well worth grabbing. While there are a few high profile and much-loved artists featured across the two discs, for the most part the label's selections are slightly deeper catalogue picks, while the rest of the tracks could genuinely be described as "forgotten gems" or "slept-on classics". Picking highlights is tough, but our current favourites include the boogie-era disco-soul of Billy Griffin's 'Be With Me', the sax-sporting squelch of Alfonzo's 'Girl You Are The One', the slick electrofunk goodness of Linx's 'You're Lying' and a deliciously grandiose disco number from Marlena Shaw ('Touch Me In The Morning').
