Doing exactly what is says on the tin, Dio At Donnington '87', is a live album from the former Black Sabbath frontman's solo venture, recorded during his iconic Monsters Of Rock (now known as Download) festival performance in 1987. Touring the acclaimed fourth Dio full-length, Dream Evil at the time; the set is peppered with choice album cuts such as, 'Naked In The Rain', and, 'All The Fools Sailed Away', as well as the thunderous title-track. Ample room is still provided for the essentials, with anthems like 'Heaven & Hell', the obligatory, 'Holy Diver', and the momentous closing rendition of, 'Rainbow In The Dark', utterly stealing the show. Allow yourself to be transported back to the golden age of classic metal and relive a truly legendary performance from a one and only.
