After making a debut appearance on Jenifa Mayanja's Bu Mako imprint with the source material for this EP, Denis Clifford's music gets some positive treatment from a fine cast of remixers in the wider circle of East Coast house music in which the release is positioned. Jus Ed is on hand with one of his no-nonsense takes on "Blue Moves", just a clean beat, some keys and strings, and little more needed for a sublime deep house workout. Clifford is a little more heads-up than Ed's heads-down as he re-interprets "Time", letting the vocals and sumptuous sax shine through with a wistful charm. Andrew Duke Cogniton has a raw broken beat twist to "Take It Or Leave It", while label boss Mayanja casts a "Mystical" spell over "King Of Dreams" that lets aching strings lead the way to great effect.
