The New York based Sequencias is quietly becoming one of the city's most intriguing operations, with label boss JM De Frias enlisting a high calibre of artists such as Aroy Dee, Jamal Moss, Willie Burns, Specter and Perseus Traxx to step outside their comfort zone. The label seems to revel in the art of the memorable track title too and it's little surprise that Ron Morelli and the Rubadub crew are big fans. I Have No Eyes, And I Must See signals the return to the label of Creme and Nation artist D'Marc Cantu, pairing up with Sequencias boss JM De Frias as both contribute solo productions as well as collaborating on the final track. DCantu's "The Lost Tribe" is a typically potent blend of spiky percussion, thick acid and wonderfully melancholic chords, which is matched by JM De Frias whose cut "The Light" sounds vast and incandescent in full flight. Put together, the pair excel on "The Last Light" which has a notably more pensive mood and leaves you craving more.
