Sonar Kollektiv has gathered together an all-star cast of remixers for this third installment in the Daniel Grau Reworks series, in which modern producers offer sympathetic re-interpretations of the legendary Venezuelan jazz-funk composer's classic works. Los Amigos Invisibles and Ray Mang join forces on side A, with the latter delivering a brilliant dub disco version of "El Leon Bailarin" bristling with delay-laden electronics, rubbery bass and sun-kissed keys. Soul Cap and Bosq weigh in with a delightfully loose disco-meets-deep take on "To Night" - a sweltering summer treat - while Debonair goes all dreamy and immersive with a disco-flecked deep house version of "Atlantis". As the cliche goes, this is all killer, no filler.
