Famed East London basement dwellers Disco Bloodbath are no strangers to the art of production, having cut their teeth on all manner of high profile remix commissions in recent times. This clearly laid the foundations for the collective's remaining members Ben Pistor and Damon Martin to branch out and establish a record label. The latter is on the buttons for the debut release "That Ain't Right", a decidedly moody slice of 90s US vocal house that brings to mind Murk at their murkiest. What the Bicep boys might call a "right pumper" is complemented by two well chosen remixes with the recently de-masked Waze & Odyssey subjecting the vocal to actual body harm over a groove that finds more space for the thick bass line. It's left to the Legendary Children - a set of DJs and fledgling producers responsible for a club night every bit as good as Bloodbath in its pomp - to embellish the track with just the right dash of acid for a more throbbing variation.
