Florence born Cristiano Crisci is Clap! Clap! , and he has musical roots that date back to the mid-90s when he was a rapper. Later came a love of jazz and punk and time in the Trio Cane and by 2008 he was working solo. Clap! Clap! is a project that saw him bring Afro samples to the mix along with club driven drum programming and now his third album on Black Acre shows off this energetic style, but infused with plenty of thoughtful acoustic sounds and lush synths that drip like water. The tracks are lush and humid like a steamy jungle and worldly references abound throughout.
