Fresh from a guest appearance on Guy Gerber and Puff Daddy's 11:11 LP, Israeli tech-house producer Chaim pitches up on Visionquest. The BPitch Control regular is in fine form, delivering a pair of fluid, lucid, prog-tinged cuts that should appeal to all those who like their house melodious, picturesque and with a sprinkling of powdery rhythms. "Underwater" is probably the pick of the two cuts, and layers watery synths and lapping chords around a sturdy but surprisingly airy groove. "Remember When" is a little more intoxicating, with relentless arpeggios, dubby synth melodies and odd vocal samples helping to create an enveloping, otherworldly mood. It does sound like it was inspired by vintage progressive house, which is a sound that seems to be influencing a few producers right now.
