The past few years have seen Planet E embark on a programme of archival releases, digging out some of the best work label founder Carl Craig committed to wax for expanded reissues. The process began in earnest in 2012 with The Secret Tapes of Dr. Eich, a collection of singles Craig released as Paperclip People and last year continued with Elements 1989-1990, a sublime retrospective of the Detroit producer's earliest material as Psyche and BFC. The focus now falls on More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art, Carl Craig's second album which originally surfaced on Planet E back in 1997. As ever these sort of archival endeavours are vinyl shaped lessons in music history for newcomers to techno, and this remastered edition only serves to highlight how immense CC cuts like "Televised Green Smoke" and the classic "At Les" are.
