Since first popping their heads above the parapet back in 2012, the mysterious Birdsmakingmachine collective has delivered some of the most interesting music the minimal techno and micro-house scenes have heard in years. This ninth self-titled 12" release begins with a heartfelt tribute to the loopy, tech-tinged deep house pulse of Germany's legendary Playhouse label (the Isolee-with-extra-balls shuffle of "Jui Ju"), before dropping some eccentric, jazz-propelled, swing-time shuffle via the tasty "Life of Veggies". Switch to the B for the beat-box electro-meets-tech-house pulse of "Pantanao", and the wonky, undulating, bass-heavy late night bounce of "Dark Side Of The Loop" (think Rob Mello dragged through a ditch backwards, and you're close).
