Geir Jenssen continues his ongoing reissue series with an expanded edition of 2002 full-length Shenzhou - a concept album in which 10 of the 12 tracks are based on the works of composer Claude Debussy. It remains one of the Norwegian producer's finest sets (and that's saying something), with the fusion of sampled Debussy strings working fantastically well with the producer's usual glacial electronics. This time round, the album is bundled with a second CD containing music composed for the 2005 opening of the Samphire Tower in Kent, England. With its' mix of local field recordings, delicate ambient electronics and hushed orchestral movements, it's every bit as beguiling as you'd expect.
