Marmor vinyl

Long-serving techno warrior Bill Youngman has pleasingly visible of late with his recent association with Killekill amongst other labels. Now he sidles up to another Berlin institution, infamous techno club Suicide Circus which is branching out into label territory with this first artist release following a pair of compilations. "Marmor" is a morose affair, submerging the beat under a thick fog of murky processing and letting menacing drones pulse out against the synths best efforts to inject some melody into the gloom. Dasha Rush does nothing to lift the veil with a remix that wafts out pads more steeped in texture than melody over a straight-up metronome of a beat, and then Youngman finishes off with a more snappy kind of rhythmic techno informed by the machinations of electro.
