Review

The Beating Heart project is something of a rarity these days. The label is ran by Hollywood and Chris Pedley, but there have been a number of known electronic artists who have helped is resurrection from the original archives, and thus its release, by working on future remixes for the African project. Just to whet your tastebuds, these include people like Machinedrum, Throwing Shade and Luke Vibert, among others. Malawi itself its sublime collection of songs from the area throughout the 1950's, and its collector music for anyone with a passion for true African folk music. Village rituals, prayers, dance rhythms and much more - for fans of material on labels like Heavenly Sweetness, Light In The Attic, Sublime Frequencies, Analog Africa, Honest Jon's and the rest of the African reissuing clique...
