Arnold Steiner aka As1 is an Electro producer and graphic designer (his artwork has graced the covers of records on Planet Mu plus numerous Schematic and Breakbeat Science releases). He was born in Venezuela and raised in Miami and was the founder of the Transient Force label. He appears now for Juan Atkins' legendary Metroplex imprint. On the A side "In The End" is the definite highlight. Noir futurism/vintage soul is the flavour, reminiscent of motor city legends like Dopplereffekt. The slamming title track is the kind of bass heavy, hard electro that only someone from Miami can make. After all, this is where legends like Dynamix II and Gosub originate from and surely an influence. On the flip, the energetic remix of said track by Juan Atkins and Kimyon Huggins does not let up either!
