AlphaTheta Corporation has made another step toward offering DJs complete creative freedom by adding support for Apple Music to its rekordbox DJ software and selected hardware systems. This update enables you to play seamlessly using Apple Music's massive library of over 100 million tracks, and its expertly curated playlists, when you play with rekordbox and supported DJ gear.

With the OMNIS-DUO, you can now connect directly to Apple Music via the internet and get instant access to the latest club tracks, chart hits, and nostalgic classics, plus your favorite playlists from your Apple Music account. This integration enables you explore new creative possibilities in your DJ sets.

To unlock these features, updates were released for rekordbox for Mac / Windows (ver. 7.1.0), rekordbox for iOS (ver. 4.4.0) and OMNIS-DUO firmware (ver. 1.21).

Through this collaboration with Apple Music, AlphaTheta will launch the AlphaTheta DJ Mix Curator page on the streaming platform. To provide new inspiration for DJ sets, the page will feature DJ mixes along with unmixed playlists of all the featured tracks so you can create your own version of each mix at home.

Portability and playability

Easily carry the OMNIS-DUO anywhere thanks to its compact size, modest weight, and rounded corners. The system's 2-deck + mixer layout feels great for DJing, and there are 2 modes for the touchscreen - Light and Dark - so you'll always see the displayed information, even in bright outdoor settings.

Bluetooth audio input

Invite a friend to connect their phone to the OMNIS-DUO via Bluetooth and you can drop their favourite track into your set. With the Bluetooth Playback function, you'll have control of the audio on the deck. So, you can adjust the volume and EQ, apply effects to the sound, change the tempo, use Hot Cues, and scratch.

5-hour battery

Play for up to 5 hours without plugging into the mains. You can also connect the AC adapter or plug in a compatible power bank (45W or more) to the dedicated USB Type-C terminal. And if you combine the OMNIS-DUO with the battery-powered WAVE-EIGHT speaker, which features ultra-low-latency SonicLink technology, you can enjoy wireless DJing for total freedom.

Support for multiple music sources

USB Type-A drives and SD cards can be plugged straight into the OMNIS-DUO, as well as a PC / Mac via the USB Type-C terminal for use with rekordbox Performance mode. The Wi-Fi function offers easy access to tracks on a PC / Mac, smartphone, or the cloud without a wired connection.

Flexible audio output options

There's no limit to the places you can hold a party, thanks to the Bluetooth audio output function. And when the time comes to play in a venue like a bar, you can use the professional XLR output, while the RCA terminals are perfect for plugging in monitor speakers at home.
