Brownswood's occasional trawl through the world of electronic music returns, once again with Alex Stevenson (Patchworks) and Tom McCarthy (Black Atlantic) standing in for globe-trotting boss and vinyl sniffer extraordinaire Gilles Peterson. The pair has, again, unearthed some gems, meaning that Brownswood Electric 3's tracklist reads like a who's who of little-known electronica talent. Highlights are plentiful, from the soft focus house wooziness of Anushka's "Tried & Tried" and the sparkling synths of Plezier's "Wild", to the skittish wonkiness of The Risks and BMBxSpaceKid's twinkling "Labyrinth". Look out, too, for the atmospheric brilliance of Djrum's "Lies" and Lost Twin's cascading "Nothing".
