With a focus on distinctive and beautifully red-lining synths over delicate trills of beats, "Baka Tribe" instantly demands your attention as a more exciting product of the analogue house explosion. "Herzog" is equally raw, although here Albinos are getting deep into African sources with a joyous choir and rough beat bolstered by perfect ripples of synthesised liquid. "Apocalypta" is bizarrely the less wild of the cuts, opting for a more simplistic kind of jacker that calls to mind the early primal Chicago noodlings of Gene Hunt and the like. Either way this EP suggests vital and mind-twisting additions to a well-stocked shelf of house music, particularly for those who like things a little freaky.
