Better known as Priku, who has already surfaced on All Inn and other respected Romanian outposts, Adrian Niculae here indulges a more sensitive kind of 4/4 production equally indebted to the minimalist approach for his own Motif imprint. "Bonitsa Mariposa" lets mournful notes linger in mid-air while a detailed, paper-thin drum track ticks away in the background almost trying not to be noticed for fear of interrupting the melancholy. "Marker" meanwhile lets the beat in on more of the action as the synths take on less shapely tones in order to hum and haw in the background.
