  4. Data Re Entry
  5. Hoggur
  6. Snert Horpu Mina
Review: X/OZ is a new force in Icelandic techno started by Exos, and following a sterling various artists release the label welcomes its masters in collaboration with Ohm, and the results are magnificent. "Thrir" opens the record up with typically Scandinavian drones and reduced grooves, while "Frodari" takes a more intimate approach further expanded upon by the additional ambient take of the track. "Data Re Entry" wriggles a cheeky acid line into the smoky mood on the B side, while "Hoggur" expounds the merits of utterly reduced, creepy-as-hell techno before the final ambient shimmers of "Snert Horpu Mina".

Review: X/OZ presents their most awaited release yet: Fifth Force EP by Yagya. One of the most respected and embraced electronic music artist in Iceland since the early nineties, Yagya, a.k.a Sanasol, OZ Artist & Plastic now takes his sound further into a deeper, harder atmosphere. Known for beautiful deep minimal music with ambient soundscapes, this release speeds things up to 140 bpm while still maintaining the distinctive Yagya sound. As a special treat the EP includes a track written by Yagya, "Getting Closer To An Unknown Goal", originally released under the moniker "Rhythm of Snow" which later became the name of Yagya's first LP. The EP also includes the magical ambient track from his vintage collection "A Very Long Daydream". Fifth Force is not to be missed by any Yagya fans out there, new and old.

Techno
  1. Confusion
  2. Pluton
  3. Curtains
  4. Trans Siberian Express
  5. Brooklyn Train (Exos remix)
Review: Exos' label X/OZ continues to grow as a distinct voice in the world of minimal techno, this time around inviting Russian producer Nikita Zabelin to explore his sound with a sizable EP of finely crafted techno and thought-provoking ambience. "Confusion" is a consummate slice of hypnotic techno crackling with heavily processed energy, while "Pluton" drifts into rich beatless territory. There's more experimental fare afoot with the fractured tumbles of "Curtains", but "Trans Siberian Express" is on hand to lock things back into a sturdy rhythmic framework. Exos also takes the time to remix "Brooklyn Train" into a noirish dub techno workout.
