Touellskouarn

Notes: The Ar Merc'het Brao module is comprised of two filters and two overdrives.

As usual at Touellskouarn it has a Breton name: Ar Merc'het Brao means "The pretty girls".

It can be used with a stereo signal or with two mono signals. The module is modular as well as guitar friendly.

The filters are resonant with a slope of -12dB. A switch allows to switch each filter from LowPass to HighPass. The filter cut-offs are voltage controlled thanks to dedicated CV inputs. Additionally, the Ar Merc'het Brao features global controls for cut-off and resonance.

Both overdrive sections offer the classic and well known TouellSkouarn distortion sound.

Notes: Blokan is a ring modulator for Eurorack based on tubes and transformers. It is built like a classic diode ring modulator, but the diodes are tube based.

The built-in VCO provides the carrier signal (saw wave) and can also be tapped using a dedicated output. The VCO provides a voltage control input. The carrier signal can also be replaced by an external signal.

The module sounds different from conventional ring modulators due to the tubes. There may be slight noise and the carrier wave may crosstalk in the output.

Notes: The Touellskouarn Eread Jedonian is a quad splitter from TRS to 2x mono mini jack combined with a bidirectional Hz/V converter. Additionally it offers V-Trig to S-Trig conversion.

The Hz/V standard works with Korg MS and old Yamaha CS among others.

Notes: The "Luskellader Frekans Izel" is a Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) that can be used to modulate various parameters of the synthesizer, including pitch, filter cutoff, and amplitude. The module has 2 ouputs, with continuous morphing shapes available at the same time, one Square/PWM, one Saw/triangle/inverted saw. The LFO has a speed switch going from low to audio rates. The 2 knobs are : Speed and Morph. The module is 6HP wide and is made with quality components such as Nichicon/Panasonic caps and alpha pots.

Notes: The Touellskouarn "Sil Kontrollet" eurorack module is a LowPass voltage-controlled filter (VCF) The filter is a 12dB per octave low-pass filter that can be self-oscillated, this way it can produce a sine wave with V/Oct tracking capability. This filter has a unique and distinctive sound, characterized by its aggressive resonance and its ability to self-oscillate. Cutoff can be CV controlled. The module is 6HP wide and is made with quality components such as Nichicon/Panasonic caps and alpha pots.

Notes: TouellSkouarn Strakal Brulu is a handmade distortion and fuzz module. The great sound is due to the new-old-stock east-German germanium transistors.

Very characteristic for the module's sound if the feedback that is coupled to the feedback. The more fuzz, the more feedback - the Strakal Brulu 2 can get pretty nasty and it screams a lot at high fuzz settings and low input level. The fuzz amount can be voltage controlled, with an inverse attenuator. Input and output levels can also be set separately.
