Review: Ukranian imprint TVIR are back after several brilliant releases by the likes of Romania's Guy From Downstairs, the wonderfully named Strukturator and of course Rora boss Romar. Next up for the label's sixth release are Artem Anrilov, Kardonov and Kirill Silantyev who are collectively known as Horror Vacui serving up some sublime minimal-deep house of the hypnotic variety. Starting out with the gorgeously dreamy repetition of "Miss The Drama", they compliment the A side with some nice contrast on the superbly dark and sinister "Do The Swamp". It's darkly, low-slung groove has dubby elements and paranoid atmosphere well suitable for the after-hours. On the flip, there's some killer remixes of "Miss The Drama", but for our money: it's all about Tommy Vicari Jnr's summery and feelgood rendition which gets into your head and never leaves

Review: Hailing from the Ukraine, KIM are a duo who make their debut on the equally fresh Tvir label, and their first release comes backed with a strong range of remixers. The original track is devoutly minimal, keeping the drums steady in the mix to allow plenty of space for unusual sounds to dart around in a playful fashion, while Patrick Klein has a whale of a time injecting some colourful synths and a crafty 2-step shuffle into the track. Rising star Voigtmann offers up something more restrained and experimental with his own remix, and Leo Pol takes the sublime deep house route for his "Gang De Louis Blanc" version.

Review: Ukraine's Tvir imprint is back with their fourth release courtesy of the mysterious Amin Ravelle. All we know is that he's from Barcelona and that he's got some serious talent. A side track "Mon 2893" is a rolling, hi tech, reductionist groove with melancholic chords and a tripped out scrape on every bar that's truly mind melting. On the flip is "Relantier", a more mysterious and subdued effort with a broken beat, tripped out vocal samples and rising, tunnelling chords that altogether combined will push you right into the void. The track gets two remixes. First by Ztrl from Hungary who gives it a more upfront and energetic makeover with a more rolling groove and then another by Marlin, who's released previously on Gua Camole and Sakadat. He gives the track a wonky and claustrophobic vibe that makes you feel like you're dancing on downers. Tip!

Review: If you're into tightly programmed rhythms and microsamples that glitch all about the place: look no further! Deep, intricate and downright hypnotic minimalism on offer here, courtesy of Sil and Antrakt main man Rabotnic for Ukranian label Tvir. "Kavar" and "Chertv" are undoubtedly indebted to the mid noughties sound of Perlon and Minibar, and that's not a bad thing! London's OdD turn in a pristine and upbeat tech house remix of "Kavar" while Japan's Radiq gets in on the action by remixing "Chertv", getting into the exotic, with congas accompanied by pops and clicks and all sorts of weirdness!

Review: Romania look out; the Ukrainians are becoming a force to be reckoned with in terms of their minimal house exports and alongside labels like Mulen and Propaganda we've got TVIR that's really on a roll right now. Strukturator (not his real name) delivers three fine reductionist grooves here; on the A side is the moody and mysterious slow burner "Bassybee" which is ideal to set the mood for the night, while "Bulybongi" gets on with it in more uptempo fashion. This rolling and infectious groove has the right amount of esoteric trippiness thrown in; fans of Barac and Vincentiulian take note. Bucharest upstart Traian Chereches gets onboard for the remix, giving "Bassybee" a swinging deep house makeover with the right amount of soul; pretty uplifting!
