Review: Leipzig based Purple Disco Machine is up next on Australian dance-pop label Sweat It Out: carrying on the legacy of the beloved and legendary DJ Ajax who passed away back in 2014. Real name Tino Piontek, he's had a successful run of releases: appearing everywhere from OFF to Nurvous and even main room specialists Defected. Featuring the fine vocal talents of the one and only Duane Harden (who appeared on such classics as "You Don't Know Me" by Armand Van Helden) and Joe Killington of The Funktuary. An unholy mixture of bluesy country-inflected '70s rock and funky house. And let's not ignore the elephant in the room here: yes there is an absolutely jumping remix by UK big beat hero Fatboy Slim: and he's in top form as always with his party starting rendition.

Review: Built around a central Stax Records gem from the late 1960s, Purple Disco Machine's 'Devil In Me' is an emotional disco-house burster that reappropriates the staunch voices of Judy Clay and William Bell's 'Private Number'. But the function of this track isn't to evoke mournful blues 'motion more than it is to get you up and dancing; truly, the hard edges and funk bounces of this track will 'bring out the devil' in you too. Fittingly, it comes to a blood red vinyl 12" edition.

Review: The Purple Disco Machine keeps on trucking with that none-bigger approach to chart baiting house music, and this time there's no holding back as they team up with Joe Killington to deliver the insanely catchy 'Devil In Me'. There's a familiar soul lick looped up in the background of the track which should only double down on the mass appeal of this perfect track, and you get the perfect balance of straight up radio-friendly vocal version and a club dub on the flip for those who want to take it deeper.
