Schlurptastic (D'Julz Jam)
Schlurptastic (D'Julz remix)
Review: Know widely for delivering no nonsense dance floor weapons of the highest quality, One Records pull out the goods once again with a double hitter from Acid Mondays. Back on board the label since their standout remix of Andrade was released earlier this year, this time they offer their unique production skills with 'Schlurptastic' and 'Dohec'. On the B-side Bass Culture boss D'Julz brings two sterling remixes to the table

Mir (7:32)

Mir (Cab Drivers remix) (6:41)
Review: REPRESS ALERT: Ukrainian artist iO is the next to make his mark on One Records with
'Mir', including two intricate and sophisticated, rolling dance floor
tracks of the highest quality. On remix duty, the profoundly talented
Cab Drivers showcase their unique production style, as they too are
warmly welcomed to the label.
Part of the game for a number of years now, iO's successful releases
can be found on imprints such as Rejected, Noir Music, Area Remote,
Leftroom, VIVa, Highway Records and his own Mulen Records which he
started in 2012 and released his stunning debut album with on in 2013.
Aside from his skills in the studio, iO's talents as a DJ also see him play
regularly at the likes of Arma17 (Moscow), Studio 80 (Amsterdam) and
Boom Boom Room (Kiev), also appearing at events such as ADE, WMC,
Exit and Kazantip.
Hugely respected Berlin residents Cab Drivers aka ZKY & Daniel Paul are
well known for their distinguished productions and live showcases. Their
well established record label Cabinet Records holds an extensive
catalogue of quality music and places them even further within the
real elite of electronic music.

Ten Years Of One Part 2

Minimal/Tech House
Mathew Jonson & Subb An - "Red" (6:28)
Yamen & EDA - "Mister Proper" (6:00)
Thoma Bulwer & Anna Wall - "Cap Clap" (7:36)
Jack Wickham - "Yin" (7:08)
Review: One Records' past decade in the business is celebrated with this second installment curated by label chief Subb-An. On 'Ten Years Of One Part 2', we have got cuts on the A side by the aforementioned Subb-An who teams up with veteran producer Mathew Jonson for a surprising collaboration titled "Red" - an infectious tech house thumper in the proper UK tradition, followed by French label staples Yamen & Eda who get deep down and dirty on the swinging and bass-driven "Mister Proper". On the flip, British up and comers Thomas Bulwer & Anna Wall deliver the infectious "Cap Clap" and the ever reliable Jack Wickham is as hypnotic as always on the handy groove tool "Yin".

E211 (7:59)
E131 (6:19)
E211 (John Dimas Pulsar remix) (6:26)
Review: One Records continue their quest for the most up-to-the-minute house and tech-house tones, this time calling on Bobby O'Donnell to step up to the plate with his groovesome wares. "E211" is a huge track, using swooping pads and a classic diva vocal lick to devastating effect - it's hard to imagine anyone resisting the emotional draw of this melancholic jam. "E131" meanwhile is a more cheeky affair, ramping up the funky drum programming and using a more minimal palette of sounds for decoration. John Dimas then steps up to remix "E211" and turns it into a hard-bopping workout powered by a mean-tempered snare.

Smile (8:52)
Smile (The Mole MMD remix) (7:02)
Review: Transmitting out of Birmingham and representing the cream of the sleek tech house crop, Adam Shelton's One Records continues to forge valuable connections with the global scene while staying true to the label's roots. Shaun Reeves and Tuccillo have been doing their thing for long enough to know how to throw down a surefooted deep groover, and that's just what you get with "Smile". Meanwhile The Mole does a sterling job of working some complex percussion into the bones of the track and creating a hypnotic, understated version that will appeal to the freakier end of the floor.

Subb An - "Sunrise Mood" (7:03)
Adam Pits - "Pungent Method" (5:31)
Urulu - "Mollare Qualcuno" (6:24)
Yamen & Eda - "Last Dance" (7:18)
Review: It's now accepted that label anniversary compilations and EPs should be stacked with high-grade cuts, preferably offered up by sizable or notable artists. Even so, there's something extra-special about this first part of Digbeth-based One Records' 10th anniversary EP series. Fittingly, it begins with a fresh cut from label stalwart Subb-an, a suitably heavy chunk of locked-in, early morning techno titled "Sunrise Mood", before continuing via the cut-up breakbeat fills, spacey electronics and warehouse-ready analogue bass of Adam Pits' "Pungent Method". Over on side B, Los Angeles-based Steve Urulu serves up the groovy, percussion-rich deep house/techno fusion of retro-futurist treat "Mollare Qualcuno", while Yamen & Eda drift their way through the deep breakbeat-house shuffle of "Last Dance".

Infinite Diversity EP

Minimal/Tech House
Joe Kerr (6:28)
Joe Kerr (Youandewan remix) (5:58)
Infinite Diversity (5:59)
Infinite Diversity (Subb-An remix) (6:35)
Review: Next on Adam Shelton's One Records is French duo Yamen & Eda, who've had a great run of releases previously on Elephant Moon, Shotgun Records, and their own Maison Mere. The Infinite Diversity EP features "Joe Kerr" with Northen bleep style energy underpinned by Todd Terry beats. It receives a stomping rework by Youandewan up next that's perfect for those heads-down moments on the dancefloor. Over on the flip, things go down a minimal route on the afterhours minded title track and it too receives a remix, this time by Subb-an who takes it well into Monday morning with his trippy microhouse re-format.
