Random Patterns EP
Cat: MTRON 015. Rel: 27 Sep 19

Electro
Turnin' Headz (5:28)
Noise Theory (5:51)
Otherside (5:00)
Day 1 (5:45)
Review: Assembler Code & Jensen Interceptor are one of electro's most devastating duos right now. Mechatronica welcome them for four more hard hitting jams after their "Vapour Waves" EP on this label got plenty of people talking. These are tunes with an old school feel that will blow up your bass bins and tear apart your tweeters with their mix of low end heaviness and bright melodic patterns. Superbly urgent drum programming sweeps you off your feet and races you through astral skies on "Noise Theory", "Otherwise" has a raggedy-ass broken beat and "Day 1" has a blistering bassline of the highest order.

Techno
Programmed To Consume (6:27)
Glass Tears (5:11)
Body Count (6:04)
Just A Ride (6:21)
Review: Cardopusher's latest release - the Barcelona-based artist's first for Mechatronica - is pleasingly retro-futurist in tone, building on the stylish fusions of EBM, industrial, new wave, acid and techno he's previously offered up on Dark Entries, Boysnoize, Dalmata Daniel and Super Rhythm Trax. Rooted in analogue hardware, the four tracks mix druggy, Nitzer Ebb style arpeggio basslines and clattering, sometimes jacking rhythm tracks with distant vocal samples and occasional hard-edged, mind-altering electronic motifs. It's all very muscular, forthright and dancefloor-focused, with the deliciously raw and druggy "Just A Ride" and soaring "Programmed To Consume" - all rising lead lines, big chords and bustling machine drums - standing out.

You Win (4:28)
The Wash (5:17)
NP Soup (5:13)
Late Night Approach - "L'Ultimo Ritmo" (Ctrls remix) (4:55)
Ben Pest - "Strict Saws" (Ctrls remix) (5:10)
Review: Berlin-based record label and collective Mechatronica welcome Ctrls for a mutant EP of brain-boggling electro sounds. 'You Win' is hurried but uneasy with squealing synths before 'The Wash' traps you in infinite loops of twisted electro-techno futurism. 'NP Soup' is a bass-driven and cavernous sound that lurches back and forth then the flispide offers a pair of texturally rich Ctrls remixes. This is a forward-thinking collection of music that is destined to make an indelible impact on minds as well as dance floors.

IC-1101 (5:04)
Play With Us (4:29)
Come Again (4:50)
SITG (5:09)
Review: Mechatronica are a Berlin-based promoter, label and collective, whose main screed is enthusiasm for the joining of man and machine. Driven by a passion for the connection between humans, mechanics and electronics, their parties center on such cultural centres as Sameheads and Griessmuhle. DL-MS is their latest nonhuman addition to the roster; a dystopian electro soundscape in which not even the minutest cluster of organic life can escape its artificially intelligent clutches.

Electro
False Memories (4:50)
Magnetic Practice (5:45)
Fluid Theory (5:35)
School Of Common Sense (5:00)
Review: Fresh from delivering a superb debut album on Pinkman - the IDM, acid, breaks and electro fusion of Generatie Desinteresse - former Brkntoys artist Gamma Intel makes his bow on Mechatronica. He hits the ground running with the wild, acid-fired breakbeat-electro insanity of 'False Memories', before blurring the boundaries between electro, experimental drum and bass and trippy drug-chug on the odd (but genuinely superb) 'Magnetic Practice'. His love of early jungle style breakbeats is explored further on 'Fluid Theory', where a menacing, elongated analogue bassline rides skittish and crunchy drums, while closing cut 'School of Common Sense' is a thrillingly weird, out-there trip that flits between oddball modular ambience and moody, hot-stepping post-dubstep grooves.

Electro
Keine Angst (5:58)
Keine Angst (Dollkraut remix) (5:23)
Strassenmensch (feat Nils Fock) (4:01)
Herdenimmunitat (8:54)
Review:
After serving up his well received Red Pyramid EP, L.F.T. is back with more fearless futurists visions. He calls upon Nils Fock for vocals and Dollkraut for a blistering remix on the flip. 'Keine Angst' is actually quite angsty, with crashing hits and stiff EBM/cold wave designs that are filthy dirty and full of punk revolt. That Dollkraut remix is more slowed down and spacious, creating an eerie, textural atmosphere before 'Strassenmensch' is a hyper speed, ice cold and dystopian electro-techno track with brilliantly stiff synth sequences. 'Herdenimmunitat' rounds out in acid madness. This release is dedicated to Gabi Delgado-Lopez and is a one time only pressing.

Heat Wave EP
Cat: MTRON 016. Rel: 06 Dec 19

Electro
Heat Wave (5:08)
Three Channels (4:42)
Naoned (feat DeFeKT) (4:29)
Dublin (feat DeFeKT) (4:46)
Review: Strap in and prepare for a wild ride on this one as Maelstrom links with DeFeKT to serve up some searing electro/techno fusions that are designed to shake your bones loose. "Heat Wave" is a real slap around the face with its corrugated bassline and coruscated percussion. It's a high impact, high speed track while "Three Channels" is all twitching synth paranoia for peak time freak outs. Flipside "Naoned" piles on the pressured with warped bass and busted hits soaked in industrial textures before the most brash and confrontational cut of the lot - "Dublin" - closes things out in real face-melting fashion.

Disrupted Dialect

Electro
Disrupted Dialect
E Honda
Cold Snap
V-Runner
Lotto Kix
Oddball Midi
Review: Second Storey distills a long time love of electronic music into this electrifying new album Disrupted Dialect on Mechatronica. From bleeped out machine funk to high speed electro via twisted bass music, retro IDM and all manner of busted up rhythms and playful sound designs, it all adds up to a fun but sophisticated work of art. Right from the off you cannot help but get your ass shaking with the title track's pinging bass notes, then 'Cold Snap' is a twitchy electro fusion and 'Lotto Kix' is a ragged ride through the farthest edges of the cosmos. All in all a great distillation of all forms of body music.

Mechatronica 1
Cat: MTRON 001. Rel: 01 Jul 16

Electro
Sync 24 & Luke Eargoggle - "Broken Electronix" (5:47)
UHU - "Never See" (4:00)
Privacy - "Miss You" (5:47)
Etcher - "Super-Translations" (5:53)
Review: Drawn together by a common "passion for the connection between man, mechanics and electronics", the artists on Mechatronica label all well-versed in the art of electro. Veterans Sync24 and Luke Eargoggle team up for the master-blaster that is "Broken Electronix", a menacing stab of a groove that dissolves into the more granular computer-world of "Never See" by UHU. On the flip, "Miss You" by Privacy is dark, spectral and hollow, while "Super-Translations" by Etcher feels like a ride on the same aquatic waves of electro giants like Drexciya. Excellent stuff.

CLONE (5:10)
Host Star (5:50)
Out Of Range (4:44)
Dark Skies (5:11)
Review: Zeta Reticula is an astronomically space-age artist, having named themselves after a constellation, lending their chops to various starbound labels (this one coming to the one and only Mechatronica), and rivaling the work of even the most preeminent space-lectro artists. 'CLONE' judders with the tyrannical crunch of a giant drone-replication machine, telling its story via thick and piercing dance cuts C.L.O.N.E., Host Star and Dark Skies.
